Client Brief

Creambell India was launching a unique dessert that had Chocolate Ice-cream, cake, fudge & sauce all rolled into one amazing block of indulgence. We were assigned with the task of naming & packaging the same.

Idea

A journey into the chocolate heaven

For naming this unique dessert we resisted the temptation to give it an exotic name, and rather gave it a name that was universally understood by the consumers, shopkeepers & sales team alike in Indian tier 2-3 cities.

‘Rolled into one’ is often a term used when you have many different types of textures coming in together. ‘Rolls’ in the category reminds consumers of ‘Swiss Cake Roll’ which helps explain a unique offering like this and creates an upmarket perception without huge advertising spends. We created bespoke typography with the ‘O’ curled in, to remind people of the layers of ice-cream cake roll.

With so many layers of chocolate indulgence, biting into this unique dessert was like going on a journey into the chocolate heaven. We created this visually enticing world of chocolate heaven with smooth chocolate sauce luxuriously draping the many textures of chocolate ice-cream enrobed in chocolate cake and set of a layer of chocolate fudge. The cut ‘Choco Roll’ showcased the many layers & textures of the heavenly goodness.

 

Result

Launched during the festive holiday season, Creambell Choco Roll gave people an innovative alternate to the same old desserts and was a roaring success.
